Element of Crime
Fri, November 07, 2014 9:00 pm CET
»Element of Crime« will present their new album »Lieblingsfarben und Tiere« exclusively in Karlsruhe – though tickets for the concert cannot be purchased; whoever wishes to be present may take part in the SWR2 Online Draw [LINK] (the submission deadline is October 24, 2014, 12 a.m.).
The band, founded in West Berlin, in 1985 is synonymous with imaginative arrangements and poetic texts, ranging in scope and variety from the banalities of everyday life through to sudden flashes of existential inspiration. Following the initial successes in 1987, the band played half the tour as supporting act for Herbert Grönemeyer. At the end of 2007, they received a Golden Disc for the album »Mittelpunkt der Welt«, before going on to receive a further award in 2010 for their CD »Immer da wo du bist bin ich«.
The »Element of Crime« lineup is singer, guitarist, and trumpet-player, Sven Regener, Jakob Ilja (guitar), David Young (bass), and finally Richard Pappik (drums, percussion and blues harp).
But, those who do not win tickets have no reason to be blue: the »Radio Play Night« at the ZKM_Lecture Hall will present Alfred Döblin’s »November 1918« on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.
