AHA-Labor 2011: Children’s Health Congress

Wed, October 12 – Thu, October 13, 2011

You’ve always wanted to know whether umbilical cord cells can become a new heart, and how a prosthesis can be controlled by thoughts? Whether reading in poor light is bad for your eyes and how an entire people could become ill?
In research institutions and laboratories, scientists are working on these and other questions – at the Children’s Health Congress / AHA-Labor some of these researchers will let you look over their shoulder and show you what research can already do for our health today, and what it will be able to do tomorrow.
Big and small researchers of tomorrow have the opportunity, in the rooms of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and at ZKM / Karlsruhe Center for Art and Media, to embark on an interesting discovery tour through the research landscape of the German Republic. Whether a trip into the past and future of medicine, a visit to the literary sickbed, or lectures fresh from the laboratory: AHA-moments are guaranteed.
